Chris Lynch
Born November 19th, 1985 in Bakersfield, California.

I have 6 Brothers, and 2 Sisters, guess whos stuck right in the middle? Me.
I started training in Boxing at the age of 8. My grandma saw me getting bullied
and decided to show me how to defend myself. My Grandpa was a 4th Degree Shotokan Black Belt
& Golden Gloves Champion in the Navy (Ship Champion). Apparently he taught my Grandma
who was determined to pass the knowledge to me.

After training with my Grandma for a couple years, I went to the Bakersfield "PAL" to have them train me.
I went there to search for further knowledge, but discovered soon that it wasn't for me.

I saw my first MMA fight shortly after that, and decided thats what I wanted to do.
As a kid, it was hard to explain to others that you want to grow up and get punched in the face.
When I explained it to them, that seems to be all they heard, not that I want to be the best.

I started practitioning in Jeet Kune Do. After bout 4 Years I realized that though the philosophy was correct, something was missing.
Thats when I found Muay Thai. It was my missing link. I felt like a kid again! I continued to train Muay Thai for 3 years.
Thats when I had my first child Phiona. She gave me a new focus, taking care of my family. Training had to go on the back burner for now.
After my daughter turned 2, I enrolled us in a Shito-Ryu Karate School. The teacher was Sensei David Wynes.
This teacher was like no other, he went from stranger to father figure in almost no time.
It is hard to describe the lessons I learned in his class' as they were so many, from life to martial arts.
I would continue to train here until Sensei was forced to close the Dojo, 2 Weeks before my Black Belt.
The loss of "The Dojo" left a void that needed to be filled.

I have decided it is time to go MMA 100%. I have started training with "The Underground MMA Training Center" in Bakersfield, Ca 93308.
I look foward to exploding onto the scene in 2012
